Irini Gorge
The gorge of Irini is parallel to the gorge of Avakas, same distance and same altitude. It is located west of the community of Pano Arode, at a distance of 6 kilometers from the central square of the village. The homonymous river that crosses the Irini gorge owes its name, according to the President of the Community Council, Mattheos Stefanos, to a young girl from the area, who for unknown reasons ended her life by falling from a high cliff. This cliff is located just before the entrance of the gorge. The river of Irini flows into the beach of Toxeutra after it joins the gorge of Avakas.
