Stone Waves Gorge

A site of rare and imposing natural beauty. It is located in an unspoilt corner south of the community of Pano Arodes and can easily be classified as a monument of natural beauty. As you walk along it you come across five different elevation levels with impressive geological formations. Particularly impressive are the natural formations of the vertical rocks. It reminds of fairy tales, a magical and dreamlike view.

A wonderful natural sculpture with symmetrical undulations created, over the course of many centuries, by the action of the river water that crosses it mainly during the winter months after heavy rainfall. The amazing rock formations towards the exit of the gorge that complete the beautiful scenery also look like suspended stone waves.
